Trims get an audible centre — walk a trim back through neutral and you get a double-beep, so you can find centre mid-flight with your eyes on the model. The Modules page gets a live preview: plug in a head tracker or any wired module and watch its values move on screen as you set the bindings.

One image covers both Magic Box v1.4 and v2.0 hardware.

  • Trim centre double-beep — a trim passing through neutral lands on exactly zero and plays two spaced beeps. Centre becomes something you hear rather than something you look for.
  • Live module preview — the Modules page streams live values from a wired module (head tracker being the common case), so you watch the numbers move while you bind them instead of guessing.
  • Two-position switch modes — 2-position switches carry a switch-mode setting.
  • One image, both hardware versions — the same card boots on v1.4 and v2.0. Flash the same file whichever box you own.

Two controllers of the same model — a matched pair of grips, twin throttle quadrants, two identical button boxes — are addressable separately, each with its own bindings. Identical hardware reports identical USB identity, so Magic Box tells them apart by the order they come up: the first keeps the plain device id, the second gets a #2.

Label the two cables 1 and 2 and plug them in the same order every time — that’s what keeps each stick on its own bindings.

  • Two identical controllers, separately bindable — devices sharing a USB identity each get their own entry instead of collapsing into one. Bindings for single-controller setups are untouched.
  • Buzzer tone on v1.4 — the buzzer drives at the polarity the v1.4 board expects, so trim clicks and alerts come out as clean tones.

Big quality-of-life release for pilots who actually fly off the bench. Trim system v2 — hold a trim button to walk a servo, bind trims on a different stick than the main axis (rudder on the pedals, trim on the throttle), buzzer click on every trim step, and a latching mode that turns one button into a multi-position switch. IBUS and CRSF unlocked on v1.4 hardware — the protocol dropdown no longer hides them; v1.4 boxes can now drive ELRS gear like the RadioMaster Bandit. Plus a battery readout overhaul — live voltage and current in the header, cell count shown automatically, and a percent reading calibrated against a real 3S pack.

  • Trim auto-repeat on hold — hold a trim button and it walks the servo for you. No more machine-gunning the button to bring a stuck servo back to zero.
  • Cross-device trim source — bind your trim buttons on a different stick or quadrant than the channel’s main axis. Classic case: rudder axis on the pedals, rudder trim on the throttle or joystick (pedals don’t have buttons).
  • Trim beeper — optional click on every trim step. Silent at the end of travel so you hear “you’re at the limit” instead of a stuck tone.
  • Latching mode for multi-state buttons — turn one button into a 2-, 3-, or N-position switch. Wrap-up, wrap-down or ping-pong cycle modes.
  • IBUS and CRSF unlocked on v1.4 hardware — the v1.4 protocol dropdown no longer hides IBUS and CRSF. v1.4’s UART is inverted, so pick these only if your TX module can be told to accept an inverted input — ELRS gear like the RadioMaster Bandit can, via UART inverted in its WebUI. The Settings page warns you when the pairing needs it.
  • Battery readout fixes — live voltage and current in the header, cell count auto-detected (12.4V / 3S), and percent reading calibrated against a real LiPo discharge curve.
  • PPM pin hot-swap — change the PPM output pin or jack polarity in Settings without rebooting the box.
  • Add Element redesign — plug in a stick, the box guesses whether you just moved an axis, a button, a hat or an arm switch, you confirm. Six element types, row-click on the suggestion, the new row flashes briefly so you see what landed.

This is the first official v2 release, replacing the v1 line that was configured by editing YAML files on the SD card. v2 moves the entire configuration into a database with a Web UI you reach from your phone — no more text-file editing, no more “did I get the indentation right?”.
